Hi, I’m Szymon. I like making things.

My dad showed me how to fix computers. They’ve been part of my life for as long as I can remember: first something I wanted to understand, and later a way to make things of my own.

I still enjoy the moment when, after working out what’s wrong, everything starts working. Websites add another dimension: how things look, how they fit together and how someone will use them. They let me bring technical thinking and creativity into the same job.

Literally. I was a stilt-walker, performing in Poland and the United Arab Emirates. It’s a different part of my life from working with code, but it also involved creating something for people.

I like work with a bit of personality. A website can catch your attention and stay with you while still making it easy to understand a business and get in touch.

I don’t build websites with Elementor or similar page builders. I create custom themes from start to finish, writing the code that controls how a website looks and behaves.

That gives me control over the HTML structure, styles, scripts and how assets load for each project. It makes it easier to limit unnecessary code, investigate slowdowns and improve performance. It also leaves room for details that a ready-made template wasn’t designed to accommodate.

Custom code doesn’t mean you need a developer every time you want to change a sentence. I set up content editing in the CMS so you can manage the website day to day. The technology should work for the person visiting the site and the person looking after it.

I love travelling, cooking and woodworking. It’s good to make something you can hold in your hands or put on the table. And doughnuts? There’s room for those too.

I think it’s the making that I enjoy: trying an idea, refining a detail and seeing the result. A website, a meal and a piece of woodwork each offer their own version of that satisfaction.
